10 aspirants pay for Ondo APC governorship nomination form
No less than ten candidates have paid N50 million for the expression of interest and nomination forms for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) Ondo State gubernatorial ticket after two days of sales.
The drill is scheduled to conclude by April 3, 2024, having begun on Wednesday. At the end of business on Thursday, March 28, checks in the party's Directorate of Organisation revealed that nine other candidates, including Governor Lucky Ayiedatiwa, had entered the April 20 primary to choose the nominee for the November Ondo Governorship Election.
So far, all but one of the candidates are men. The sole female candidate, Engineer Funmilayo Mary Whaeed Adekojo, was the first to physically arrive and pick up the form; the other candidates sent their aides and supporters to pick it up.
