2023 POLITICS: Kwankwaso discloses why Atiku won't win presidential election
The Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) Atiku Abubakar has come under fire from the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party, Rabiu Kwankwaso, who said that any party that is unable to dominate the states of Lagos, Kano, and Rivers should forget about the 2023 election.
On Monday, Kwankwaso made this announcement at the Mgbutanwo Internal Roads' commissioning ceremony in Emohua, Rivers State, at Governor Nyesom Wike's request.
Additionally, he criticized several PDP leaders, branding them as stiff and self-centered.
He said, “Any party that cannot control two of the three states – Kano, Lagos, and Rivers is out. He (Wike) has been saying it, and people have not taken note of it.
Anyway, by now, with Kwankwaso out of that party and Wike struggling to be there or not to be there, somehow, things are moving, certainly, Lagos is not their own, and one begins to wonder how they will win the election of 2023.â€
Recall that Governor Wike and four other disgruntled governors who were also elected on the PDP platform fought to have Iyorchia Ayu removed as the party's national chairman. As a result, Atiku Abubakar lost their support.
