29-year-old Anas Musa builds rockets in Gombe

Anas Musa, a 29-year-old native of Gombe State, has promised to never give up on his goal of being accepted into the Nigerian Defence Academy or other security agencies.

According to Arewa PUNCH, Musa revealed that, despite his seven failed attempts to be accepted into the esteemed military college, he is still waiting for his luck to change. Nevertheless, he comforted himself by revealing that he has since turned his attention to his other interest, which is creating clothing.

Musa is a Chemistry graduate who now considers himself to be a fashion designer.

He told Arewa PUNCH about his intention to serve as an ordinance officer in the Army, saying, “I graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Chemistry, from Federal University, Kashere, Gombe State. My desire is to expand my research, development and innovation beyond the scope of only rocketry but in any aspect projection especially in the area of defence either serving as an Ordnance/Armament Officer in the Nigerian Armed Forces or as a Scientist.”

While explaining his various attempts to get enrolled into the military service so that he could deploy his ideas and stop the plaguing insecurity concerns in his region, Musa added, “I applied for NDA 64RC 2012, 65RC 2013, 66RC 2014 and 67RC 2015, then DSSC 26 (Army) 2022, DSSC Air Force 2023 and DSSC 28 Army 2024.”

The chemistry graduate stated he tests his rocket with community approval, and he also revealed that he has created one.
