4 dead as police uncover cult church

Four individuals were declared dead by the police on Friday, along with 11 others who were found famished and trapped underground in Malindi, a coastal town in Kenya.

In a security report, the police claimed that they had received information that dozens of people were starving to death at a nearby private farm.

The victims were reported to be starving after being told that this was a step on the path to "go and meet Jesus."

A pastor of Good News International Church who had previously been detained for similar offenses was the one responsible for the brainwashing, according to the authorities.

Security personnel who arrived on the scene on Thursday were able to enter a couple homes and rescue 15 people, of whom six were critically ill and malnourished.

Four of the victims died during the evacuation despite the fact that medics were sent in to help, according to authorities.

The police were informed by the informant, a church insider, of a huge shallow burial in a woodland where 31 brainwashing victims' remains were found.

Authorities have expressed concern about the rise of cults in the coastal region and have demanded significant attention and action to solve the problem.
