45-year-old Lagos electrician dies of electrocution
The death of a 45-year-old electrician who was trying to reconnect electrical connections to a pole has been confirmed by the Lagos State Police Command.
CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command's spokesperson, made this announcement in a statement on Sunday in Lagos.
According to him, the incident took place in the state's Shasha region on August 10 at 11:30 a.m.
“The electrician lost his life while reconnecting electricity cables to an electric pole at Shasha.
“When the case was reported, a team of police detectives visited the scene.
“He was rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was confirmed dead by the doctor on duty,” the spokesperson said.
