A 55-year-old suspected notorious kidnapper was arrested by troops of the Joint Task Force, Tundun Wada, during a security operation in Sumana village, Tundun Wada Local Government Area (LGA) of Kano State, according to a statement released to journalists on Tuesday by Capt. Babatunde Zubairu, Assistant Director, Army Public Relations, 3 Brigade, Kano. 

The statement stated that the suspect was captured on April 20 and paraded before Brig.-Gen. Ahmed Tukur, the Brigade Commander, who came to celebrate the Easter festival with troops from the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Falgore in Doguwa LGA.

According to the report, the commander praised the soldiers' professionalism and bravery.  

During the operation, a cache of weapons, ammo, and other vital supplies was found.  Nine rounds of 9mm pistol ammunition, one Den gun, one fake AK-47 rifle, and one woodland camouflage clothing are among the items on the list.
