87 abducted by bandits in another Kaduna attack
When robbers attacked the Kaduna settlements of Gangere and Aguna, which are part of the Kufana District of the Kajuru Local Government Area, at least 87 inhabitants were taken hostage.
According to Daily Trust, the event took place early on Monday morning.
Although the incident's specifics are still unclear, the victims were transported to an unidentified location.
A resident and youth leader, Ben Yuhana, confirmed the incident, saying, “Bandits entered Gangere and Aguba villages in Kufana District Kufana Chiefdom Kajuru LGA and kidnapped 87 persons between yesterday night and the early hours of today. I will keep you updated.”
Since Samuel Aruwan, the supervisory commissioner of the Ministry of Internal Security and Home Affairs, has not responded to a text message sent to him, the state government has not yet released an official statement on the matter.
As of the time this report was filed, ASP Mansir Hassan, the Public Relations Officer for Police Command, has not responded to his promise to provide more information.
