Ademola Adegoroye urges minister of works and housing to hasten road construction
Ademola Adegoroye, the minister of state for transportation, has requested Babatunde Fashola, the minister of works and housing, to hasten the restoration of the Akure-Ado Ekiti route.
According to a statement by his spokesman Ebenezer Adeniyan, Adegoroye made the appeal while visiting Fashola in Abuja.
The official advised his host that the poor road was having a negative impact on the residents of Ondo and Ekiti states.
Adegoroye claimed that the federal government needed to take immediate action due to the bad status.
Fashola was informed by the minister that his people would not allow him to take a break at home until travel work had started.
Adegoroye stated that until the project was successful, he would continue to see the minister once every week.
Fashola's "diligent labour, forthrightness, and dedication in guaranteeing the growth of road infrastructure" were lauded by the speaker.
Speaking, Fashola noted that the government's inability to start the project was due to a lack of funding.
The former governor of Lagos pledged to take all necessary steps to guarantee that work gets started as soon as feasible.
