Again, container falls on Lagos road

After a container fell on the Ojuelegba Bridge in the Surulere neighborhood of Lagos State, there was chaos on Friday.

Around 8 o'clock in the evening, an accident occurred following a Lagos State Government prohibition on articulated trucks using the Dorman Long and Ojuelegba bridges.

This came after nine people, including children, were killed when a container on the Ojuelegba Bridge collapsed onto a commercial bus.

In the most recent instance, according to our correspondent, a container dropped near the bridge's opening, stopping traffic.

At the time of publication, City Round was unable to ascertain whether any people had been hurt.

Ade Oke-Osanyintolu, the permanent secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, verified the event and said that agency personnel had been sent to the scene.
