Airport cleaner returns $10,000 found in an airplane in Kano
Auwal Dankode, a worker for the Nigeria Aviation Handling Company, has received praise for his integrity after returning $10,000 that was discovered inside a plane.
While cleaning the aircraft, Dankode, an employee of Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano, allegedly found $10,000, or roughly N16 million.
Zagazola Makaman, a security analyst and counter-insurgency specialist, stated in a post on the X platform on Wednesday that Dankode immediately reported the incident to the management of the aviation firm after realising the cash, starting a hunt for the rightful owner.
According to Zagazola, he has received considerable recognition and appreciation for his prompt action.
According to Zagazola, Dankode is well-known for his unwavering honesty and intense fear of God.
He is a native of Kode in Kano State. He claimed that his altruistic deed had demonstrated how crucial accountability and honesty are in the business.
Zagazola added that as investigations continue to identify the owner of the lost money, “Auwal’s actions serve as a shining example of the positive impact that even small acts of kindness can have.”
The post read, “This boy, Named Auwal Ahmed Dankode, an employee of Nigeria Aviation Handling Company (NAHCO), found $10,000—approximately N16m—Inside a plane while cleaning it.
“Upon discovering the money, Auwal immediately reported it to the airline company’s manager to initiate the search for the rightful owner. The incident took place at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport. Auwal, originally from Kode in Kano State, is known for his strong fear of God and honesty.”
