Amotekun officials arrest father who sold nine-month-old son to three different buyers in Ogun
Abela, Sango Ota, Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State resident Daniel Chigozie, 30, was detained by members of the Amotekun Corps for reportedly selling his nine-month-old son to three different customers.
According to David Akinremi, commandant of the Amotekun Corps in Ogun State, the security agency received information that the father had sold his kid, Daniel Chinonye Darlington, in serial trades to three separate buyers at various locations in the Sango, Meiran, and Apapa region of Lagos.
According to information obtained by DAILY POST, the man received payments of N150,000, N400,000, and N700,000 from unidentified customers between August 2022 and February 2023.
According to Akinremi, a corps probe showed that the guy, who is suspected of cooperating with a criminal organization, established a method for retrieving his son from each buyer after each transaction until he sold him to the final bidder, a Dr. Nosa in Apapa.
According to DAILY POST, the suspect, who admitted to the crime in his statement, is being profiled by the National Agency for the Prevention of Trafficking in Persons in preparation for a follow-up investigation to locate the child and for possible prosecution.
