APC PRIMARIES: Governor Simon Lalong in support of Chibuike Amaechi as the party's flagbearer

Plateau State Gov. Simon Lalong and the state's All Progressives Congress (APC) delegates have professed that nothing would interest them more than the rise of Chibuike Amaechi as the party's presidential flag-bearer for the 2023 election.

Speaking with former Plateau State Transportation Minister and APC delegate Friday at Government House Jos, Gov. Lalong stated that the decision to adopt Mr. Amaechi was in the best interests of the people of Plateau State and Nigerians, and that all former speakers and members of the State Houses of Assembly have consented to assist and vote for Mr. Amaechi.

He proclaimed Mr. Amaechi has all the qualities of a good leader and would save the country from its insecurity problems and bring development to all parts of the country, adding that Plateau State has benefited greatly from Mr. Amaechi and it is time for payback.

"I was very happy to see behind you our former chiefs of security, some of the best chiefs of security we've ever had. I see a chain of security professionals following you because the challenge we have in Nigeria today is insecurity and I know there will be no insecurity in Nigeria when you become president with these people," he said to the governor.
