APC screening begins- Tinubu, to be screened today
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, APC's frontline presidential candidate, is scheduled to be screened today on the first day of the exercise. Tinubu, who is also the national chair of the All Progressives Congress, is among 23 candidates under scrutiny in the two-day exercise. He is listed as #10. But conspicuously absent from the list is former President Goodluck Jonathan, who is being dragged into the media by a cabal as a “consensus†APC candidate. The campaign for Jonathan was criticized as insulting the founders and members of the APC, seven years after the party ousted Jonathan and the PDP in the 2015 elections. Rumours of Jonathan's contesting the APC ticket began after a so-called Northern Coalition bought the APC presidential statement and nomination forms for him. Although the former president denied interest, the rumour persisted, revived by fables that he would be used as the consensus candidate. Below are the names of the presidential aspirants for screening as listed by APC. Chukwuemeka Uwaezuoke Nwajiuba Badaru Abubakar Robert A.
