Atiku refutes rumours that Wike is working against the PDP party

Atiku Abubakar, a candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has claimed that Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers, is not opposed to the group.

Wike, other governors, and party veterans, according to the former vice president, are all working toward a winning strategy for the 2023 election.

The Wazirin of Adamawa urged stakeholders and his supporters to avoid making generalizations that would endanger the PDP's cohesion.

Atiku refuted rumours that Wike and governors in his party intended to collaborate with the opposition in a statement released by spokesperson Paul Ibe.

A statement might "possibly impair the optics of PDP's image as a cohesive political party," the flagbearer warned.

By creating the false impression that the PDP is divided, the APC, according to Atiku, is trying to get the Nigerian public to ignore their egregious failings.

The candidate emphasized that Nigerians expect the PDP to take the lead in deposing the current government in February.

According to the statement, the APC is anxious about their approaching defeat in the general election of next year because of the expectations of the electorate.

Additionally, "the ruling party is exploiting the political process to create a sense of separation in the PDP," the statement continued.

Atiku charged that the APC was acting as the devil's advocate and revelling in their fictitious invincibility on the pretext that the PDP is split.

"All the leaders, including His Excellency Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, and all the governors of the PDP are united in fighting for the PDP's triumph."

The future of Nigeria is at stake, Atiku continued, ensuring that all PDP leaders and members are on the same page in the effort to free the nation from the APC's grip.
