Atiku vows to reclaim mandate
Atiku Abubakar, the Peoples Democratic Party's (PDP) presidential candidate, urged his followers not to give up and promised that the fight to reclaim "our stolen" mandate was imminent.
Yesterday in Abuja, Atiku spoke via Senator Dino Melaye, Head of Public Affairs for the PDP Presidential Campaign Committee.
In a short message to supporters, he said: “A clarion call on all Atiku’s supporters all over the world not to be perturbed. Weeping may tarry till night but joy cometh in the morning. This grave injustice shall not stand.
“The battle to retrieve our stolen mandate is a battle of no retreat, no surrender. We shall overcome.â€
Asiwaju Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress candidate, was declared the victor of last Saturday's presidential election by the Independent National Election Commission, or INEC, against which he spoke.
