Attack On Sanwo-Olu's Convoy: " It is a politically motivated and criminal act," Senator Teslim claims
All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in Oyo state, Senator Teslim Kolawole Folarin, said the attack on Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu's convoy was politically motivated.
Folarin, who represents the Senate district of Oyo Central, made the revelation on Monday.
The DAILY POST reported that a bus carrying a press crew of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and linked to the convoy of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the ruling APC, was attacked in Lagos yesterday.
The incident happened at the Adeniji Adele end of Isale Eko after Tinubu visited the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu.
Tinubu returned to Lagos state after running as the APC's presidential candidate ahead of the 2023 election.
Folarin condemned the attack, claiming it was politically motivated.
He called on the security authorities to fish out the perpetrators to serve as a deterrent to others.
Folarin said: "The attack on the press team of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu's convoy is to be absolutely condemned. It is a politically motivated and criminal act.
“I urge the law enforcement agencies to fish out the perpetrators and bring them to book as it will serve as a deterrent to othersâ€.
