"Baba has been the one calling people all over the place for Obi"- Deji Adeyanju
Deji Adeyanju, an activist, claimed to have evidence indicating that former president Olusegun Obasanjo is backing Peter Obi, a candidate for the Labour Party, to succeed him as president of Nigeria in 2023.
Adeyanju predicted that Obi will finish in a distant third place in the presidential race.
He claimed that Obasanjo was the one urging people all over the world to vote for Obi.
According to the Independent National Electoral Commission's schedule, Obi's presidential campaign will begin next week, and he said the Balogun Owu has started raising money for it (INEC).
Despite Obasanjo's backing, Adeyanju insisted that Obi would not win the election and issued a wager to anyone who had any doubts.
