Success Ezenwafor, a six-year-old student at UNIZIK Primary School who was carried away by floodwater in Anambra State on Tuesday, has been found.

When floodwater trapped and overturned a school bus carrying him and other passengers along the Nibo–Isiagu Road in Awka South Local Government Area, success was carried away.

The Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University Teaching Hospital in Amaku, Awka is where the nine other occupants of the vehicle—seven students and two adults—were transported for treatment after being rescued by Anambra State Police Command personnel working with locals.

Success went missing until his body was found on Wednesday morning amid a police and community search. After that, his remains were placed in the mortuary.

After significant rainfall in several areas of the state, the tragedy happened early on Tuesday.

Tochukwu Ikenga, the spokesperson for the Anambra State Police Command, stated on Tuesday that community members and other pertinent stakeholders were working together to find the missing student.

Prince Chinedu Okafor, the chairman of Awka South Local Government Area, who oversaw the rescue effort, verified the boy's body's recovery on Wednesday.

According to Okafor, the other kids who were saved from the car were being treated at Amaku and were in stable condition.
