Bola Tinubu sworn in as Nigeria's president
Olukayode Ariwoola, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, has given the oath of office to Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president-elect.
This occurs shortly after Kashim Shettima, the vice president-elect, also took the oath of office.
After Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the president-elect, took the oath of office, he was sworn in.
After defeating candidates including Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP), and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Tinubu was declared the winner of the 2023 presidential election.
