Bomb blast hits livestock market in Yobe
An improvised explosive device (IED) is alleged to have caused the devastating explosion that rocked the busy Buni Yadi livestock market in the Gujba local government area of Yobe State on Friday.
According to Buni resident Ali Hassan, "It happened around 1:30 this afternoon, injuring a girl and many other traders," the incident happened at around 1:30 pm.
Although the exact amount of damage and the number of victims had not yet been confirmed by the authorities, witnesses said that dealers and market attendees had suffered serious injuries.
The popular cattle market's regular operations have been disrupted by the explosion, which has generated widespread panic and mayhem.
