Bomb explosion leaves four dead in Borno

Four travelers were killed by a bomb blast in the Komala hamlet on the Maiduguri-Damboa Road in Borno State on Wednesday.

Ten people were critically injured in the incident, which happened at around 3:30 pm, according to information our correspondent obtained.

This occurs two months after the same route resulted in the deaths of eight people and the catastrophic injuries of eleven more.

Nahum Daso, the spokesperson for the Borno State Police Command, confirmed the most recent event and stated that those injured had been taken to the state specialty hospital for treatment.

“I confirmed that the incident happened. Four persons died and 10 sustained various degrees of injuries and they have been taken to the state specialist hospital in Maiduguri,” he said.

Providing further details, he said, “It was an Isuzu pick-up that ran over an IED at the Komala village along Maiduguri-Damboa Road.”

Before drivers left for their destinations, travelers verified that there were hours of traffic jams on the road.
