Bosun Tijani celebrates President Tinubu, distributes food packages to Kuje prison inmates
In honour of President Bola Tinubu's birthday, Bosun Tijani, the minister of communications, innovation, and digital economy, gave food packs to prisoners in Kuje jail. On March 29, the president turned 72.
The minister shared pictures of hundreds of shiny food packs featuring the president's image on social media on Saturday. The packs were intended for the prisoners at the Kuje Correctional Institution located in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
According to him, the president's beliefs are symbolised by the "act of virtue" on that day—showing "love and care" for the prisoners. Tinubu will not be celebrating his birthday this year, the presidency declared last Sunday, "in deference to the challenging times" facing the nation.
The presidency said the president “does not want any of his associates and numerous well-wishers across the country to organise any celebratory event on his behalf or in his name”.
