Children's Day Celebration: 4 things parents should do

May 27th of every year marks the children's day celebration in Nigeria and parents are expected to show some love to their kids on this day. Although, this moment should not be the only time we express our love to our kids, but it is a moment we can seize to show how much we love and value them. A lot of parents usually do not know what they can do or give to their children on this day, so they find themselves going through a lot of stress to put so many things together to make the day a memorable one for their kids. However, we do not need to think a lot because we've put together here a few things you can do for your kid to celebrate the children's day.

👉 Let them know of the significance of children's day: Why don't we start the day by educating our kids on the essence of what they're celebrating. Let them know how much they are important to our lives and why they need to be celebrated. This will increase their love for us in their heart and bring us closer to them.

👉 Treat them to a nice meal: We do not have to wait till it's Christmas, Eid festival, birthdays, or any other celebration before we prepare something nice for our kids. Cooking them a delightful meal will make them feel a lot more special and loved.

👉 Take them to nice places: We all know that children love going to nice places, whether it's a beach, a funfair, or a friend's place, they'll always feel like they're in seventh heaven. The feeling is always ecstatic when they are able to play and have fun with friends and loved ones. Therefore, this should always be a part of our plan in making their day special.

👉 Give them gifts: This is the most fun part of everything you might have been doing throughout the whole day. Well, who doesn't love gifts and surprises? Of course, everyone loves to be given gifts and our children are not an exception. There is a wide range of gifts we can get for our kids and this includes clothes, shoes, bags, chocolates, painting books, cakes, and the list is endless.

All in all, we should always show love to our children, let's teach them what is right, protect them, and correct them when they do something wrong. We need to understand that raising our kids the right way is not a choice but a "must." So every parent should see this as their responsibility so that the future of their kids will be bright. We should always remember that charity begins at home, so let's make our home a better place.
