Chrome set to discard the "Discover feed" on Android

Chrome users will soon be able to choose and simply delete the Discover cards that appear when opening a new tab. The Discover drop-down menu is one of the elements that are displayed when a user opens a new tab in the Chrome Android version. This may be deleted, according to updates. However, it is now possible for a user to deactivate this menu by pressing the small cogwheel. The menu will still be displayed if the tabs no longer appear. Google will provide users to delete it completely, so they no longer have any frills on their page. Users will then after going to chrome://flags; which allows users to have control over some features. The next step is to look for the Feed ablation tab and Deactivate it. This will provide users with a cleaner page.

Users can turn off "Discover feed" in chrome for Android.

This “flag” is already accessible in the Canary version of Chrome but should arrive for all in a future browser update. It should download automatically to users' smartphones or tablets or they can download it in the Play Store. 

Another attempt to clean up the official online store Chrome Web Store was recently made by Google and it has informed developers about new icons coming soon to the Chrome Web Store. Third-party extension developers can get Featured abd Established badges. Google plans to offer the Featured badge to extensions that meet best standards and practices in terms of security, design, privacy, and set experience. Proposals are going to be processed manually by google but developers can nominate their projects for the badge starting April 20, 2022. Automatically, the second Established badge will mark developers with verified accounts and zero records of policy breach
