Container crushes car in Lagos
On Monday, a Toyota sedan was struck by an articulated truck carrying a 40-foot container as it crossed the cement bus stop in the Dopemu neighbourhood of Lagos State.
On Monday, the event reportedly took place at 4 p.m.
However, as nobody was in the automobile when the collision occurred, there were no casualties.
While confirming the occurrence, Taofiq Adebayo, a spokeswoman for the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, stated that brake failure was to blame.
He said, “The truck was moving inward Dopemu when its brake failed. The driver lost control in the process and later fell on a red Toyota Camry parked by the roadside. There was one in the car when it happened.â€
Taofiq revealed that Bolaji Oreagba, the general manager of LASTMA, recently met with the association of truck drivers and advised them to maintain their vehicles before setting out on any journeys.
