Corps members to start receiving N77,000 from February — DG
Brigadier General Yushau Ahmed, the National Youth Service Corps' (NYSC) director-general, declared Thursday that corps members will start receiving ?77,000 in February 2025.
Speaking to the 2024 Batch 'C' Stream II corps members in Katsina State, the NYSC DG revealed this.
Ahmed affirmed that after the budget is passed, the increase that has been authorised by the federal government and contained in the 2025 budget will go into effect.
“The Federal Government has already approved the increment of your allowance. It is no longer news; what we have the approval in our hands. What we are waiting for is just the passage of the budget.
"This month (January) has already ended, but once the budget is passed, by next month (February), you will start receiving N77,000 instead of the usual N33,000,” he said.
The DG counselled corps members to avoid any wrongdoing and other bad habits that would compromise their aspirations for the future.
He asserted that a prosperous life requires diligence, honesty, endurance, and confidence in God.
