Court remands skit maker Trinityguy in prison for specialising minor in video
Abdullahi Maruff Adisa, better known by his stage name Trinityguy, was remanded in custody by the Oyo State Magistrate Court in Iyaganku, Ibadan, for allegedly sexually harassing a youngster in his widely renowned skit video.
According to DAILY POST, the Nigerian Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, demanded the skit creator's arrest last week in response to a viral video of his risky practical jokes.
The creator of the skit and the parent of the young girl featured in the popular video were questioned by Oyo State Police Command, according to a statement released on Friday, and they will appear in court on Monday, June 26, 2023.
Oludare Adebayo, the defendant's attorney, appeared before the magistrate and begged the judge to release his client on bond.
While denying the bail request, Magistrate PO Adetuyibi stated that the state ministry of justice is now looking into the allegations against the skit maker.
However, the court mandated that Trinityguy and the parents of the young girl in the video remain in custody until the next hearing.
As a result, July 11 was set as the new date by Magistrate Adetuyibi.
