CWAY group advocates water security
In honor of this year's World Water Day event, the CWAY organization has promoted water security and prudent water use.
Dr. Roland Uwadiae, a marine scientist at the University of Lagos, gave the keynote address at the World Water Day event in Lagos, which was organized by CWAY Group. He noted that since 1993, World Water Day has been observed annually on March 22 in order to raise awareness of the global water crisis, which affects 2.2 billion people who lack access to safe water and sanitation.
In order to mobilize resources and handle the world's difficulties with water management, Uwadiae claimed that education of the public was necessary.
He stated that although water is the most crucial resource at our disposal, it is also the one that people misuse, abuse, and waste the most.
He demolished the notion that water's inherent capacity for self-purification had no upper limit, pointing out that this notion was untrue and incorrect.
The availability of water, according to Deji Johnson, the Chief Operating Officer of Lagos Water Company, is strongly correlated with population growth.
Johnson stated that Lagos had a daily water demand of 650 million gallons, but the state could only supply 210 million gallons to its residents.
Abiodun Suleiman, the sales director at CWAY Group, stated that the firm organized the event as part of its commitment to promoting conservation and clean water that is sustainable.
Suleiman claimed that the company had given communities without access to water safe access to water through its different CSR efforts.
“Since we began operations in Nigeria over two decades ago, we have made significant contributions toward providing clean drinking water to millions of Nigerians.
