Czech Republic model Krystyna Pyszkova crowned Miss World 2024
At a spectacular ceremony in India on Saturday, Krystyna Pyszkova of the Czech Republic became victorious in the Miss World 2024 competition, beating out Indian competitor Sini Shetty, who placed in the top 8.

Pyszkova, a twentysomething, acknowledged that she was surprised to have won the coveted championship and that it had beyond her expectations.
Pyszkova's "Beauty With A Purpose" project focused on "quality education for children" throughout the pageant, and she promised to use her position as Miss World to raise awareness for this cause.
After the competition, Pyszkova spoke with media about her enthusiasm about the Miss World contestants' supportive community and her commitment to carry on with her advocacy efforts.
