Dangote donates 80,000 bags of rice to the less-privileged in Lagos
The distribution of 80,000 10kg sacks of rice to the state's most disadvantaged residents has been announced by the Aliko Dangote Foundation (ADF). Aliko Dangote, the chairman of the foundation and president of the Dangote Group, stated that the act is a component of the more than a million 10 kg sacks of rice that will be given to one million disadvantaged individuals in the nation's 774 local government areas.
During the flag-off ceremony in Alausa, Dangote stated that the distribution of 80,000 bags containing 10kg of rice is an additional proof of the foundation's dedication to preserving the fundamental human values of compassion and solidarity.
Dangote emphasised that the effort aims to lessen some of the difficulties encountered by vulnerable communities throughout Lagos State, noting that the rice distribution is in addition to the daily distribution of 12,500 loaves of bread in Lagos.
The governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, praised Dangote for his compassion for the underprivileged in society and praised his numerous measures to lessen Nigerians' suffering.
Sanwo-Olu stated that the Foundation's leadership prioritises the welfare of the people over the pursuit of profit and wealth growth, as evidenced by the distribution of 80,000 bags containing 10 kg of rice.
