Dangote, Shettima, Bill Gates meet Governors in Aso Rock
At the moment, state governors are being met at the Presidential Villa in Abuja by Vice President Kashim Shettima, Bill Gates, co-chair of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, and Aliko Dangote, chairman of the Dangote Foundation.
The conference is a part of the Gates Foundation's dedication to collaborating closely with local leaders and communities to foster innovation that will quicken development and enhance the quality of life throughout Africa.
As part of a program to learn from collaborators tackling polio, anaemia, and other health problems, the American billionaire entrepreneur met with President Bola Tinubu on Monday.
Innovators utilizing technology to increase access to financial services, scientists using research to promote agricultural solutions for food security and climate adaptation, and others working to improve lives in Niger, Nigeria, and across the continent were also met.
Despite the difficult economic conditions, Gates and his group were still set to meet with national and regional leaders to push them to make investments and pursue policies that foster innovation and provide equal opportunities.
He was also required to take part in a discussion with students and young leaders in order to learn more about how science and innovation may hasten positive change and improve the future of Africa.
