Diablo 4 will probably takeoff in April 2023
According to rumours, Blizzard plans to release Diablo 4 around April 2023.
According to the XboxEra podcast and Windows Central, the tentative "2023" release window for Diablo 4 can actually be pushed back to April. Early access is reportedly launching in February, and pre-orders could start taking place as early as next month.
More information is reportedly coming during The Game Awards in December, which obviously makes sense. Fortunately, we won't have to wait long to find out whether the rumours are accurate because the Awards are scheduled for December 8, which is only a few short weeks away.
For those who don't already know, Blizzard has announced that it would be holding closed beta tests for "players who have recently spent substantial time in Diablo endgame experiences." There are some online leaks.
The group of Diablo testers employed by Blizzard in Albany has been granted permission to organize.
The US National Labor Relations Board granted their petition last month, paving the way for a vote by the workforce to formally establish the process. Voting has already taken place, and the results are due on November 18.
Activision Blizzard had previously advocated against moving forward with this approach and said that a bigger group of employees at the Albany studio should make that decision instead of the testing team. The NLRB ultimately disagreed.
