"Don't use yourself to set Elite State on fire," Segun Oni speaks on the alleged abduction of some SDP leaders
The Social Democratic Party gubernatorial candidate, Segun Oni, has sounded the alarm over the alleged kidnapping of some Social Democratic Party leaders by All Progressive Congress agents backed by some security agents. He declared this while speaking to reporters at his campaign office in Ado Ekiti on Friday. He said it was worrying that some of the SDP leaders were being "kidnapped" by some APC agents.
He specifically warned the Chief Security Officer to Gov. Kayode Fayemi, saying, "Don't use yourself to set Elite State on fire." Oni said: "The situation where you go to our people's homes and kidnap them as is happening now is worrying. “They should be told to stop because they are testing people's patience and tolerance. "We will not tell our people to oppose them at all costs, and we cannot tell them to obey them at all costs for carrying out illegal orders." He also warned against manipulation, emphasizing that electoral guidelines must be strictly followed.
