Ebonyi community gets traditional ruler after 19 years

After nineteen years, the residents of Anioma Isu independent community in Onicha Local Government Area, Ebonyi State, have chosen and installed Mr. Wisdom Chukwuma Okoye as their traditional ruler. 

People from all walks of life attended the celebration, which was held at the community playground. Of particular note were the chiefs, elders, Ozo title holders, and kingmakers. 

The affection that the people of Anioma community have for King Wisdom Okoye led to his election and coronation as the traditional ruler of the Anioma Isu autonomous community.

Speaking during the event, a few community members praised King Okoye for becoming the new traditional ruler of the Anioma Isu autonomous community, calling him a tried-and-true leader who is motivated by the welfare of the populace. 

The people expressed their gratitude to him for his many inspirational programmes and projects in the community, including the grading of internal roads, building of bridges, and empowerment schemes.

The people honoured him by choosing him to be their traditional ruler, and in his speech, Wisdom Okoye, who could not contain his happiness, thanked them and pledged to follow the example set by Francis Nwifuru, the state governor, in carrying out his traditional leadership. 

In order to be able to lead the residents of the Anioma Isu autonomous community with great fervour and devotion, the monarch asked for assistance from the locals and pledged to be just and inclusive in his leadership.
