EFCC arrest five suspected online scammers in Abuja

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, or EFCC, has declared that five alleged online scammers have been taken into custody in Abuja. This was disclosed by the commission on its X page.

They were detained, according to the statement, after a predawn sting operation at the Ipent 7 Estate in Gwarimpa, Abuja, as a result of information and surveillance over their purported fraudulent activities there.

Recovered from the suspects were a white Mercedes-Benz GLE 43, AMG 2017 model, an ash-colored Mercedes-Benz GLK 350, and a white Toyota Hilux.

The anti-graft organisation further stated that following the completion of the investigations, the suspects will face legal charges.
