EFCC arrests five over forgery of NSA, AGF's letterhead
According to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, five people were detained on August 24, 2023, for allegedly using forged letterheads from the offices of the Attorney General of the Federation, the Minister of Justice, and the National Security Adviser to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
Yakubu Mohammed, Bashir Ladan, Adamu Ibrahim, Steven Anom, and Mohammed Bello are the suspects.
“They allegedly conspired and used the letterheads to produce fake employment and recommendation letters for a fee, to unsuspecting members of the public,†the spokesperson for the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren said in an email correspondence on Monday.
The EFCC also stated that the suspects will be brought up in court as soon as the investigation is over.
