EFCC arrests Lagos man for alleged N2billion scam

An unlicensed foreign exchange broker named Chike Nosa Agada has been detained by EFCC agents from the Lagos Zonal Command in connection with an alleged N2 billion fraud.

Agada, a 37-year-old native of Enugu State's Udi Local Government Area, was listed as wanted by the Commission on Wednesday, October 11, 2023, for obtaining money by deception and committing N2 billion in theft by conversion.

On Monday, October 16, 2023, during a sting operation by agents of the Commission, he was apprehended at a home in the Bourdillon, Ikoyi neighbourhood of Lagos as a result of reliable information connecting him to the alleged fraud.

After his arrest, a mobile was found on him.

He will be charged in court as soon as the inquiry is over, the commission added.
