EFCC arrests man who pretended to be EFCC chairman
Salman Umar Hudu, a 38-year-old native of Kano, was detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Tuesday for impersonating the EFCC's Executive Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa, and other commission officials.
Hudu was located and taken into custody at an Abuja hotel.
According to reports, the suspect also got N100,000 from a person he convinced that he could "manage" any issue with the EFCC.
The suspect has provided helpful information, according to an EFCC statement from Wednesday, and will be charged in court after the inquiry is over.
