EFCC arrests two for vote-buying in Zamfara
On February 25, 2023, in Gusau, Zamfara State, EFCC agents under the direction of Commander of the EFCC, Aliyu Yusuf, detained two accused vote buyers.
Isa Abdullahi was arrested for buying votes with wrappers hidden in the boot and back seat of a Peugeot 406 saloon, whereas Mustapha Abubaka was arrested with N107,000 (One Hundred and Seven Thousand Naira) only in one thousand naira denomination and tickets specially designed for voters as evidence for voting his party before collection of the money.
While the inquiry is ongoing, the Commission has the suspects and the recovered materials under its custody.
