EFCC nabs 24 suspected internet fraudsters
At least 24 alleged online scammers have been taken into custody in various parts of Benin City. The arrest was made on Monday by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission's (EFCC) Benin Zonal Directorate.
According to the Commission, the suspects' suspected involvement in computer-related fraud led to their detention based on actionable intelligence.
They were found to have eleven fancy automobiles, phones, and laptops. Additionally, N160,000.00 was found on one of the suspects.
The Commission further stated that after the investigations are over, the suspects will face charges in court because they have provided helpful comments.
