In Bida and Minna, Niger State, agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission's (EFCC) Kaduna Zonal Directorate have taken forty alleged online scammers into custody.  

The suspects were found in possession of 20 cowries, a bottle of hot beverage, four women's pants, a waist bead, three feathered calabashes, traditional soap and sponge.  

Three cars, eight power generating sets, a Hisense air conditioner, two stabilisers, ten motorcycles, eight laptop computers, four Bluetooth speakers, and sixty Android phones are among the other items that were found among them.

Dele Oyewale, the Head of Media and Publicity at the EFCC, said in a statement that the suspects were taken into custody after receiving reliable information that connected them to alleged fraudulent online activity and that they would face charges as soon as the investigations were over.
