EFCC nabs 47 internet fraudsters in Edo
In Ekpoma, Edo State, 47 alleged online scammers have been taken into custody at various locations.
The arrests were made on Saturday by agents from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission's Benin Zonal Directorate.
The individuals were detained on the basis of reliable information that connected them to fraudulent online activity, according to a statement posted on the EFCC X website on Monday.
They were found to have 14 exotic automobiles, phones, and laptops.
The suspects have provided helpful statements, the Commission stated, and they will face charges as soon as the investigations are finished.
