EFCC operatives surround Kogi govt lodge, plan Yahaya Bello's arrest
The former governor of Kogi State, Yahaya Bello, has expressed concern through her media office on the actions taken by agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to apprehend her.
The office's director of media, Ohiare Michael, stated on Wednesday that the agents "are currently around the Kogi Government Lodge, Asokoro in an attempt to forcefully arrest former Governor Yahaya Bello."
The Channels Television crew's camera, tripod, and staff bus were also taken by the operatives when they were in the lodge.
Bello turned himself in with his replacement, Usman Ododo, on Wednesday after the commission proclaimed him sought.
The EFCC agents reportedly asked the former Kogi governor to leave rather than question him, according to Bello's media team.
