Europa League: Arsenal defeat PSV 1-0, UEFA opens investigation

Following PSV's 1-0 Europa League loss to Arsenal on Thursday night, UEFA launched an investigation into the actions of their supporters.

In the Emirates Stadium, the Dutch fans tore out seats and tossed flares in the direction of the home end.

In the 71st minute of the game, Granit Xhaka scored the lone goal.

The victory, which is Arsenal's fourth in the competition, ensures that they will finish in the top two of their group.

With another three points in Eindhoven the following week, Mikel Arteta's men may now secure first place.

One fan was seen in a video taken inside the stadium tossing a flare in the direction of the home crowd, fortunately missing the exiting Arsenal supporters.

Numerous people were also observed pulling off chairs, and UEFA launched an inquiry after being forced to interfere by riot police.
