'Europhia' actor Angus Cloud dies at 25

Monday saw the death of well-known American actor Angus Cloud from what appears to have been a drug overdose.

Cloud’s mother placed a 911 call at 11:30 am local time and reported a “possible overdose.” She also observed that Angus's pulse was absent. On the scene, the actor was declared deceased following the arrival of the Oakland Police Department and Fire Department.

After struggling with the loss of his father, Cloud passed away in his Oakland, California family home, according to a statement provided to TMZ by Cloud's family.

Following his father's burial in Ireland last week, Angus the actor reportedly struggled with suicidal thoughts, according to family friends.

The statement read, “It is with the heaviest heart that we had to say goodbye to an incredible human today. As an artist, a friend, a brother and a son, Angus was special to all of us in so many ways.”

“Last week, he buried his father and intensely struggled with this loss. The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend. Angus was open about his battle with mental health and we hope that his passing can be a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this on their own in silence.

“We hope the world remembers him for his humour, laughter and love for everyone. We ask for privacy at this time as we are still processing this devastating loss.”

After making an appearance in the well-liked HBO series Euphoria from 2019 to 2022, Cloud became very well-known. In the film, he portrayed Fezco, a companion and drug dealer for Rue, played by Zendaya.
