Female Nigerian Airforce officer commits suicide
Master Warrant Officer George, a female member of the Nigerian Air Force stationed with the 651 Base Services Group, was discovered deceased on Sunday.
According to sources, the Air Force employee hanged herself inside her chamber at around 1400 hours on June 10, 2023. She was discovered unresponsive at her home in Block T5 Flat 8 at Sam Ethnan Air Force Base Ikeja, Lagos.
She reportedly had three Air Provosts pronounce her dead before another team of troops arrived to transport her remains to the 661 Nigerian Air Force Hospital.
The sources stated that it is unclear what motivated her behaviour and that an inquiry is ongoing to determine the cause of her demise.
