Tuesday's fire outbreak at Lagos' well-known Balogun Market resulted in the destruction of products and property worth several billion naira.

According to information obtained by LEADERSHIP, the Tuesday morning fire incident included a five-story building in the market.

The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, however, claimed that the fire had been put out.

Firefighters from two divisions of the Lagos Fire Service, according to the agency, were sent to the area to put out the blaze.

However, a person whose store was damaged claimed that the fire was still blazing because it had completely destroyed two stories.

But, according to the Lagos State administration, firefighters are already battling the roaring blaze.
