Fire outbreak in Lagos lounge leaves four dead

Four employees were killed in a fire disaster that happened on Sunday at a club and bar on Baale Road in the Olodi Apapa neighbourhood, according to the Lagos State Police Command. 

This was confirmed to reporters in Lagos on Monday by SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command's spokesperson. 

According to Hundeyin, around 07:45 a.m. on Sunday, a fire destroyed a club and bar in Tolu Division, prompting a distress call.

“Based on the report, teams of policemen and firefighters were swiftly mobilised to the scene and the fire was successfully put out as a result of the efforts of all the teams.

“Four of the company’s staff, who are yet to be identified got burnt beyond recognition in the fire.

“The corpses have been evacuated to Infectious Disease Hospital (IDH) Morgue, Yaba for autopsy, ” he said.

According to the picture creator, neither the origin of the fire nor the amount of property damaged have been determined. The representative stated that an investigation is underway.
