Fire razes Kwara High Court complex

Courtroom No. 10 was partially destroyed by fire that started on Sunday night at the Kwara State High Court Complex in Ilorin. The State Fire Service reports that the fire began at 8:02 p.m. as a result of a power surge.

Thankfully, the fire was quickly put out by firefighters, saving the complex from more harm. Two air conditioners, a plasma TV, a fan, papers, and furniture are among the missing items.

Hassan Adekunle, Head of Media and Publicity at Kwara State Fire Service, commended the courageous firefighters for their quick response.

Their efforts were also praised by the governor's special adviser and the state's chief judge.

The incident serves as a reminder to prioritize fire safety and remain vigilant to prevent such outbreaks.”
