Flight delayed as aviation workers commence strike in Abuja
A two-day warning strike by Nigerian aviation workers left passengers detained at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja.
According to The PUNCH, the strike was in response to a meeting organized by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority on Sunday that resulted in a deadlock.
The National Union of Air Transport Employees, the Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria, the National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers, and the Association of Nigerian Aviation Professionals are the unions that make up this group. Among other things, they are demanding that the planned demolition of the aviation agencies' head offices in Lagos be put on hold.
